NRC REGION I MANAGEMENT REVIEW OF AUGMENTED INSPECTION TEAM (AIT) REPORT NOS. 50-272/93-81 AND 50-311/93-81 The above report that discussed several rod control system failures was sent to you on August 11, 1993. We stated in that letter that the AIT did not have the responsibility to determine compliance with NRC rules and regulations or to recommend enforcement actions..
These actions were to be developed following management review of the report.
The above review is now complete. We have concluded that no enforcement action is warranted bas~ on the findings in the report. The corrective actions that you have taken or have planned in response to the event are subject to future inspection.
