L This refers to the inspection conducted by P. E. Harmon of this office on

January 31 - February 27, 1993. The inspection included a review of t

activities authorized for your Oconee facility. At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the enclosed inspection report.
l Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within
!
these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of i
,
activities in progress.
l

t Based on the results of this inspection, certain activities appeared to be in
!
violation of NRC requirements, as specified in the enclosed Notice of l
Violation (Notice).
The violation is of concern because it involves
,
activities associated with the electrical power system.
'
i You are required to respond to this letter and should follow the instructions l
specified in the enclosed Notice when preparing your response. In your j
i l
response, you should document the specific actions and any additional actions t
l you plan to prevent recurrence. After reviewing your response to this Notice,
!
including your proposed corrective actions and the results of future
'l inspections, the NRC will determine whether further NRC enforcement action is e
necessary to ensure compliance with the NRC regulatory requirements.
