Insoection on November 5-8, 1978 (Report No. 50-263/78-18)
Areas Inspected: Unannounced inspection regarding:
(a) action taken by the licensee to correct previous inspection findings identified during an inspection conducted June 27-30, 1978; (b) applicable procedural ay 25, 1977; (c)
requirements of 10 CFR 73.55, which became effective w
applicable portions of the approved Monticello Security Plan (Rev. 4);
(d) licensee action relative to IE Circular No. 78-17.
Specifically, the inspectors reviewed the security organization, physical barriers, access controls, communications controls, detection aids, testing and maintenance of security related equipment, response requirements and records. The inspection involved 59 inspector-hours onsite by two NRC

Results: Of the eight areas specifically inspected, one item of non-compliance was identified in one area - (Access Controls, paragraph 5).
This item is considered a deficiency. The previous inspection finding is considered closed. One unresolved item was identified relative to the Security Organization.
