This refers to your letters dited January 11 and February 24, 1983, and to a subsequent telephone discussion between Mr. A. T. Gody of this office and Mr.
S. Spector of your staff on March 16, 1983, in response to our letter dated December 13, 1982.

During review of the Notice of Violation enclosed with our December 13 letter, Ginna Station personnel discovered that your recor.ds were in disagreement with the records described in item C of the Notice of Violation.
Specifically, the original spent fuel storage grid map in your records does properly show a spent fuel assembly in location A-17.
Ginna Station personnel agree that the microfiche photocopy of the March'24,11982, spent fuel. storage grid map used by the NRC during the subject inspection did not sbok an. assembly at location

At your request, we reviewed and evaluated all pcitih rt information and have concluded that there is a distinct possibility that the microfiche photocopy of the March 24, 1982, spent fuel pool storage grid m?p used by the NRC may'have, been faulty in that it did not show an assembly in location A-17.
Therefore,^
item C of the Notice of Violation is rescinded, and your enforcement histpry will be adjusted accordingly.
