This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. J. L. Belanger of this office on March 9-11, 1977, of activities at Big Rock Point Nuc1 car Power Plant authorized by NRC Operating License No. DPR-6 and to the discussion of our findings with Messrs. Abel, DaFoe and Cappell at the conclusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and interviews with
'
personnel. The inspector also examined corrective action you have taken with respect to the matter identified during our Physical Protection Inspection of August 18-20, 1976. We have no further questions on this matter.
During this inspection, certain of your activities appeared to be in noncompliance with NRC requirements, as described in the Summary of Findings section of the enciased inspection report.
The inspection showed that action had been taken to correct the identified noncompliance and to prevent recurrence. Consequently, no reply to this noncompliance is required and we have no fur-ther questions regarding this matter at this time.
Areas examined during this inspection concern a subject matter

which is exempt f rom disclosure according to Section 2.790(d)
of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations. Consequently, our report of this inspec-
tion will not be placed in the Public Document Room.
