Facility: ' Trojan Nuclear Plant, PO Box 439, Rainier, OR 97048 4.
Identification of Occurrence:
During scheduled surveillance, one high steam flow channel programmed setpoint for turbine first-stage pressure was found to have exceeded the limiting setting for the 40% steam flow setpoint at 20% load (see attached curve).

Conditienc Prior to Occurrence:
The plant was in Mode 1, power operations, at 100% power.

Description of Occurrence:
The turbine-first stage pressure channel 506 is tested monthly per Technical Specifications Table 4.3-2.
During the last scheduled test the pressure channel setpoint module was found to be out of calibration and therefore inoperable. As a result, the plant was operating with less than the minimum number of operable channels as required by the Technir.al Specifications (4.3.1.1.1 and 4.3.2.1.1).

l The apparent cause of this occurrence is attributed to normal i
instrument drift.

Analysis of Occurrence:
This avent had no ef fect on either plant or public safety. The redundant pressure channel was operable and within specifications.

The instrumen~. was recalibrated and the PICT was run with satisfactory results.
