Dear Mr. Barker:

The Regional Assistance Committee has completed the review of the updated Illinois Plan for Radiological Accidents (IPRA) - Quad Cities, Volume IV, dated 12/12, site specific to the Quad Cities Station. A line in the left margin indicates all changes made since the 1111 0 update.

The following changes were made since the draft plan was submitted for review:

  • Notification and Resources lists will be maintained by the counties and have been removed from the plan
  • Cordova Police Department has been removed from the plan; procedures have been taken over by the Rock Island Sheriffs Department Representative and Village President
  • Typo with dose limit in Chapter 2, Section 0.2 corrected to say >25 instead of <25 for life-saving, voluntary dose limit for radiation exposure
  • Sheltering Profiles have been updated
  • Appendix D, shelter Hawthorne-Irving School name changed to Rock Island Academy
  • TAC Guide language corrected
  • Updated Rock Island County Radio Communications Network Table
  • Updated Cordova Agency Responsibility Matrix
  • Added step to Rock Island County Sheriffs procedure to dispatch deputies to Port Byron and Cordova EOCs as necessary The Concept of Operations for the State of Illinois, Rock Island and Whiteside Counties as outlined in the 11110 IPRA-Quad Cities have not changed.

Mr. Allan Barker Page Two The plan has been found to conform to Title 44 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 350, and the requirements in NUREG-0654/FEMA-REP-L Enclosed is the final printing of the document dated 12/12, and accompanying maps. All other copies of this plan should be destroyed.
