Dear Mr. Rathbun,
I am writing on behalf of my constituent, Ms. Henrietta Levine, who has contacted me regarding her concerns about whether the Ginna Nuclear Power Plant in New York is in compliance with Federal regulations concerning back-up power sources at nuclear facilities. I have enclosed a copy of correspondence that explains this case.
I would appreciate your reviewing this correspondence to assist my constituent in resolving this matter. Please direct all questions and correspondence to Christopher Zeltmann in my Rochester District Office at (585) 232-4850.
Thank you for your timely assistance with this matter. I look forward to your reply.

Dear Louise:
In a conversation over the weekend I learned that nuclear power plants, according to NRC rules, must have two back-up power sources in the event of a power blackout, such as the one we recently experienced in the Northeast.
I was told that at the present time, Ginna has only one source of emergency power. Since I am opposed to the renewal of their agreement with the NRC, I would think that this may be one more reason to oppose the sale of this out-moded, over-age plant.
If your office has any information about this, I would appreciate hearing from you about this although I fear it may be too late to change a decision which-may have already gone forward.
R spectfully, Henrietta Levine_
