Dear Ms. Satern:
This is in response to your letter dated June 4,1985, to Janet Podriquez of the NRC's Division of Accounting and Finance regarding payment for fees for the professional search time incurred by the NRC staff on your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request (FOIA-85-182). ,
As noted previously in my letter to you dated May 3,1985, you were infomed in a telephone conversation with David Meyer on April 15, 1985, that the staff expended 12 hours1.388889e-4 days <br />0.00333 hours <br />1.984127e-5 weeks <br />4.566e-6 months <br /> of professional search time on your request and you agreed to pay the costs involved. In my May 3 letter, you were requested to submit payment prior to completion of your F0!A request. The staff has not processed your request any further because payment has not been received.
In your letter of June 4, you state that you will not render payment of fees for which you were billed by the NRC because you have not received the balance of the material and it would be of no further use to you. Because you now state that these records are of no further use to you, we are closing your request under FOIA-85-182, and you may disregard the bill received from NRC.
Should you later decide you do want the records, the outstanding fees must be l paid prior to processing the request.
