Dear Ms. DeZube:

This is in response to your letter dated August 7, 1985, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (F0IA), copies of correspondence the NRC has received from Representatives Barnes and Byron and Senators Mathias and Sarbanes during the past two years. In a telephone conversation with Natalie Brown of my staff on August 20, 1985, you agreed to eliminate all personnel-related correspondence from the scope of your request.

The Congressional letters and the NRC responses, identified on the enclosed appendix, are being placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) located at 1717 H Stnet, NW, Washington, DC 20555, in file folder F01A-85-564 in your name. There is no charge for inspecting records maintained at the PDR. We are enclosing a notice that provides charges and procedures for obtaining copies of records from the PDR.
