Dear Senator Sarbanes:

I am writing to express my feelings about the continued delay in approving the restart of Three Mile Island -Unit 1.

It is my opinion _that delays of this unit's restart is hurting the consumers of power in Pennsylvania, setting the U.S. farther, behind in the nuclear power age, and indicates the strength of today's vocal minorities.

I am the first to believe that the delay of the restart in 1979, 1980 and 1981 was absolutely necessary; however, I think we have long passed the period of time when precautionary measures should be taken. Continuing delays are now absolutely unnecessary and a "cause celebre" of a vocal few. Let's be on with our nuclear progress!

I truly hope you can support my views on this subject.

Sincerely,
