Sarbanes United States Senate Washington, DC 20510
Dear Senator Sarbanes:
am writing as a member of the nuclear power industry 7
to urge your support in an early decision by the Commis-sioners of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on the restart of Three Mile Island, Unit I.
We believe the NRC now has an adequate basis on which to decide the lifting of its 1979 Shutdown Orders of TMI-I.
This early decision will ease a major burden of uncertaint N rom both the industry and the regional economy affe'c.ted by the order.
