_ _, Attachment to RA 17-0110 Page 1 of 1 Summary of Changes to Two Procedures and Two Forms that Implement the Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS) Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP) 1. Procedure AP 06-004, "Equipment Important to Emergency Response," Rev. 6 This revision removes monitoring of the core exit thermocouple temperatures as a compensatory measure that may be used to determine whether or not an event meets any initiating condition associated with the Emergency Action Levels (EALs) if GTRE0059 and GTRE0060 are inoperable.
The change was needed because there is no valid correlation between the core exit thermocouple temperatures and the GTRE0059 and GTRE0060 radiation levels. This change does not decrease the effectiveness of the WCGS RERP. 2. Procedure EPP 06-004, "Public Information Organization," Rev. 29 This revision combines forms EPF 06-004-07 and EPF 06-004-10 (see below). Making this change allows the Phone Team members and Media Monitors to use one form to gather and document information.
This change streamlines the process for identifying rumors and trends and allows Tech Support to be more efficient in resolving questions and dispelling rumors. This revision also adds a reminder to the Public Information Manager's responsibilities to contact the Security Coordinator in the Teqhnical Support Center (TSC) if threats are received by the phone team or media monitors.
This change does not decrease the effectiveness of the WCGS RERP. 3. Form EPF 06-004-07, "Phone Team Information Report," Rev. 5 This revision combines forms EPF 06-004-07 and EPF 06-004-10.
EPF 06-004-10 is being superseded (voided) by this revision.
Making this change allows the Phone Team members and Media Monitors to use one form to gather and document information.
This change streamlines the process for identifying rumors and trends and allows Tech Support to be more efficient in resolving questions and dispelling rumors. This change does not decrease the effectiveness of the WCGS RERP. 4. Form EPF 06-004-10, "Media Team Report," Rev. 4 This change, voiding of EPF 06-004-10, incorporates appropriate guidance from EPF 06-004-10 into EPF 06-004-07, Phone Team Information Request, Rev. 5. Making this change allows the Phone Team members and Media Monitors to use one form to gather information.
The change also streamlines the process for identifying rumors and trends and allows Tech Support to be more efficient in resolving questions and dispelling rumors. This change does not decrease the effectiveness of the WCGS RERP.
