| Description | Technical Specification 5.7.2 requires areas with dose rates greater than 1000 millirem/hour to be posted and controlled to prevent inadvertent entry. Contrary to this, on September 22, 2007, a steam generator platform worker left the work area before the steam generator hand hole covers were in place. This configuration allowed inadvertent access to an area where rates exceeded 1000 millirem/hour. This was identified in the licensees corrective action program as CR-PLP-2007-04304 and was reported as a Performance Indicator occurrence. The finding was determined to be of very low safety significance because it was not an ALARA planning issue, there was no overexposure nor potential for overexposure, and the licensees ability to assess dose was not compromise |
