Response to NuScale Topical Report Audit Question Question Number: A-NonLOCA.LTR-16 Receipt Date: 01/15/2024 Question:

Please provide the evaluation used to determine that the PIRT developed for previous NPM is applicable and appropriate for the current submitted NPM.

ER-126485, Rev. 0, NRELAP5 Applicability to NPM-20 Non-LOCA Analysis, Section 4.1 provides the evaluation that the PIRT developed for the previous NPM design (i.e., NPM-160) is applicable to the current NPM design (i.e., NPM-20). ER-126485 has previously been provided in the non-LOCA area of the electronic reading room (eRR) in response to other audit questions. As stated in Section 4.1.2 of ER-126485, the PIRT developed for NPM-160 is not required to be updated for NPM-20 because there are no new additional phenomena identified for NPM-20.

No changes to the SDAA are necessary.
