During power operation, 2 damper motors in the suction line for HUE 98

~ (ECCS Area Exhaust Fan) blew fuses in their control circuits.

The first

~Q4 re ort erroneousl stated that they failed closed, rendering, the "B" I

train inoperable.

The darApers actually fail open as designed so the B train was OPERABLE and this item is not re ortable er. Tcchnical 2

The personnel involved are aware

One of the damper motors lost its internal insulating fluid through a leaking gasket causing the motor to short out.

This caused the fuses to blow in the control circuits for the filter. plenum inlet and outlet dam er motors on B train.

The shoxted-out motor. and blown fuses were

'eplaced and both motors vexe operationally checked satisfactorily.
