Narrative

Report for LER 50-321-1980-116 During normal operation, the "A" reactor recirculation pump motor generator set tripped.

Investigation of motor generator room was initiated and. unit was placed in a 24 hour2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> L.C.O. for one pump operation.

Several plant laborers were in the room decontaminating area at the time of trip. No reason for trip was evident. The Plant Electrical Department checked for faults and none were found.

Motor generator was restarted and returned to normal operation and L.C.0. was terminated.

Personnel in area were instructed to use caution when decontaminating near operating equipment.

This is not a repetitive occurrence. There were no effects upon public health and safety due to this event.
