Lear Mr. Price:

We hereby request your approval of the methods described below for shipping dry uranium oxide powders, which will be produced in our plant near Pittsburg, Kansas.

The facility is operated under AEC License SNM-15h uhich included approval for a b.$ liter uater tight shipping container and a bird cage. We wish to have the license amended to include the additional methods of packaging.

He are concurrently requesting ICC (Bureau of Explosives) approval for the same shipping containers. Shipment of large orders which require nore than 3 to' 5 con-tainers will be rade by contract motor carrier, while small total shipments which can be handled in 1 to 3 containers will be by Railuay Express under Protective Signature. The total number of containers in a single shipment will be less than the limits specified in LA-2063
