Dear Mr. Price We hereby request your approval for using the bird cace as shown on attached drauing 48-81, to transport uraniun hexafluoride fron AEC plants. to our plant located near Pittsburg, Kansas. This cage will be used in conjunction with the AEC "MD" cylindor which is approximately 12 inches I.D. x 53 inches long, and has a tare weight of appraximately 185 pounds. The cylinder is loaded by the AE with enrichmenta of uranium below 3.2%. The neount of uranius hnxnfluoride loading varies from 115 pounds at 3 2% enriche.ent, up to a nax-inura of h30 pounds at 1.8% emichment and below.
