( Tnis is in reference to your September 2hth and 26th letters concerning our Application for Special Nuclear Material License. By neans of this letter which is notarized, we hereby execute the reference ~ application dated September 15, 1957. This is in compliance with your Sep-ternber 2hth request. With regard to the classification of Part C of the application appendix, which we understand that you have designated " Appendix 2", we, of course, have no objection to your considering this unclassified and shall mark our copies aeeor? ngly. Cur basis for requesting that Parts A and B of the appendix be withheld from Q public review is intended on our part to core within Title 10, Chapter I, Part 2, Section 2.790 of AEC regulation. As s further explanation, we have developed or demonstrated information and teclu. ology which has required expenditure of time and funds and we consider, therefore, that it would be against our best interest to hold this information in public review. We believe this to be the case since detailed information concerning our system r.ay be beneficial to a competitive processor. We are submitting herewith h copies cach of documents designated " Appendix I" and " Appendix II" to our application, these new copies to 'oe used as replace-cents for the Appendices 1 and 2 that you have now. We request that you return to us the appendices that you have.
