On March 30,2023, STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) submitted the referenced license amendment request (LAR). ln that LAR, STPNOC requested approval of the proposed change by April 4,2024, and stated that implementation of the amendment would occur within 90 days of the NRC approval date. lmplementation of the LAR will require modifications to the default release durations for the Main Steam Line Break and Locked Rotor events modeled in STPNOC's offsite dose projection model (STAMPEDE). STPNOC has a scheduled Emergency Preparedness NRC Graded Exercise scheduled for July 17,2024. The exercise scenario has been written using the current dose assessment program and procedures, has been validated on the operations simulator, and is in the approval process. Making changes to STAMPEDE prior to the exercise would be problematic in executing the exercise. Therefore, STPNOC requests a change to the implementation date for the referenced LAR. STPNOC will now implement the amendment within 90 days of the approval date or October 1,2024, whichever is later.

There are no commitments in this letter.
