In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 72.212(b)(2), Arizona Public Service Company (APS) is registering the use of dry spent fuel storage casks to store spent fuel under a 10 CFR Part 72 general license at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS) Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI). The information below is provided for the following:

• Transportable storage canister (TSC) identification number AMZDFX177, used to store spent fuel within vertical concrete cask (VCC) identification number AMZDNE179, beginning on January 26, 2024.

• TSC identification number AMZDFX178, used to store spent fuel within VCC identification number AMZDNE178, beginning on February 2, 2024.

• TSC identification number AMZDFX179, used to store spent fuel within VCC identification number AMZDNE180, beginning on February 9, 2024.

Licensee's Name:

APS is the operating agent for PVNGS.

PVNGS Units 1, 2, and 3 have seven owners who are licensees. The owners/licensees are APS, Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District, El Paso Electric Company, Southern California Edison Company, Public Service Company of New Mexico, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, and Southern California Public Power Authority. As specified in the PVNGS renewed operating licenses, APS is authorized to act as agent for the PVNGS licensees and has exclusive responsibility and control over the physical construction, operation and maintenance of the facility.
