The Division of low-level Waste Management ard Decomissic.ning (LLW) has reviewed your comments on the rerort entitled, "Review of the Structural Design of Polyethylene HigL Integrity Containers" which were submitted in letter dated June 29, 1988. LLWM is continuing their study of the technical issues raised concerning high-density polyethylene (HDPE). In addition, they are continuing their review of th'e three Topical Reports from vendors who market highintegritycontainers(HIC's)madeofHDPE. LLWM believes that it would be inappropriate to provide detailed technical coment? on your June letter until these issues have been fully evaluated by the NP.C staff and our consultants. Horever, we have enclosed a copy of LLW's brief responses to your conwnts.
