LaSalle County Station Unit 2 Application for Amendment to racility Operating License NPF-18 Appendix A, Technical Specifications - Revision of Table 3.8.3.2-1 HRC_Docke Lib _50-124 Gentlemen Pursuant to 10 CTR 50, Comonwapith Edison is hereby applying for an amendment to Facility Operating License NPF-18, Appendix A, Technical Specifications. The purpose of this amendment is to revise Table 3.8.3.2-1 to reflect new locations of breakers for Valve 2E12-T009, Residual Heat Removal Shutdown Cooling Suction Isolation Valve.

Attachment A contains background and information and justification for the proposed change. Attachment B contains the proposed change to Technical Specifications. The proposed change has been reviewed and approved by both On-Site and Off-Site Review in accordance with Comonwealth Edison Company procedures. This amendment request has been evaluated in accordance with 10 CTR 50.92(c) and it was determined that no significant hasards consideration exists. That evaluation is documenteu in Attachment C.

Commonwealth Edison is notifying thu State of Illinois of our application for this amendment by transmitting a copy of this letter and its attachments to the designated State Official.

In accordance with 10 CfR 170, a fee retalttance in the amount of

$150.00 is enclosed. '

IECittlCAL_Sl'ICIFICATIOf CHANGELIEQUEST LASALLE_COUNTLETAT10tLUNIT.3 D16CUSSLDK In order to increase the reliability of the Residual Heat Removal Shutdown Cooling Isolation Valve (2E12-F009) at LaSalle County Station Unit 2, Commonwealth Edison Company is performing a modification which will replace the esisting Limitorque operator with a larger operator. The new, larger operator requires the installation of larger capacity breakers (both normal and emergency feeds) which will not fit into the compartments occupied by the original breakers. The replacement breakers will be installed in larger compartments within the same Motor Control Centers as the originals. The original breaker locations are MCC 236Y-1 Comp. D5 and MCC 235X-1 Comp. C2.

The new locations will be MCC 236Y-1 Comp. 82 and MCC 235X-1 Comp. C2/C3, respectively. The proposed Technical Specification unendment is an a&ministrative change intended to reflect the revised breaker compartment location of the new breakers. The proposed Technical Specification unen&nent also deletes manufacturer part number references from the subject table because of changes to the part numbers.
