Dear Dr. Murley,

Attached is a proposed revision to the LaSalle Unit I and Unit 2 Technical Specification Bases, which supplements the referenced submittal. The bases section that is changed includes a reference to the LaSalle LOCA analysis performed by General Electric. As Commonwealth Edison recently submitted a new LOCA analysis in the referenced transmittal, the bases section should reference the new (1993) General Electric LOCA analysis upon approval of the proposed amendment. Also, the referenced document for the LOCA analytical model should be updated to reflect the approved methods used in the 1993 GE LOCA analysis. In addition, these references should be placed after Section B 3/4.2.4, as these are the references that apply to Section B 3/4.2, Power Distribution Limits.

These changes are editorial in nature, as all safety considerations were addressed in the referenced transmittal. These changes have been approved by Commonwealth Edison's On-Site and Off-Site Review processes.

Commonwealth Edison is notifying the State ofIllinois of this supplement to the proposed amendment by transmitting a copy of this letter and its attachments to the designated state ofEcial.
