I Tony Godv - Palo Verde AIT Paae 1 1 From: Thomas Koshy To: Calvo, Jose; Dembek, Stephen; Gody, Tony; Jenkins, Ronaldo; Pruett, Troy Date: Tue, Jun 15,2004 11:53AM

Subject:

Palo Verde AIT I am told that I am participating in the Palo Verde AIT to review the grid influences on the event.

The influence of the grid can be evaluated only when significant level of details are available from the organizations outside of the Nuclear Station.

Most of the information would come from Transmission operators, Transmission System Organization, Reliability council, etc., These details are to be received through the licensee for our review and assessment. My time would not be productive for grid performance evaluation if these details are not readily available.

The outside organization's fact collection and initial assessment would result in receiving more useful data for our use. I would anticipate a late start and delayed ending for my review.

Last November, Peach Bottom had a similar event with a 2 unit trip and AIT. I am speaking from that experience.
