SUBJECT:
SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1 - CORRECTION PAGE TO AMENDMENT NO. 306 (TAC NO. MC8243)
Dear Mr. Singer:
On February 23, 2006, the Commission issued Amendment No. 306 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-77 for the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (SQN), Unit 1 (TS-O5-07). The purpose of this letter is to issue corrected page 6-13a to the SQN Technical Specifications (TSs). The amendment revised the SQN TSs associated with steam generator tube integrity consistent with Technical Specification Task Force (TSTF) Standard Technical Specification Traveler, TSTF-449, Steam Generator Tube Integrity, Revision 4.
Amendment No. 306 introduced new TSs to Section 6.0, Administrative Controls. Specifically, new TS 6.8.4.k, Steam Generator (SG) Program, was added to Section 6.8, Procedures &
Programs, and new TS 6.9.16, Steam Generator Tube Inspection Report, was added to Section 6.9, Reporting Requirements. Thus, the purpose of TS 6.9.16 is to provide the reporting requirements of the SG Program found in TS 6.8.4.k.
Your staff recently informed us that TS 6.9.16 in Amendment No. 306 inadvertently references the SG Program as TS 5.5.9. The SQN TSs do not include a TS 5.5.9. As described above, the correct reference is TS 6.8.4.k. Therefore, we are issuing the enclosed corrected TS page 6-13a.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Sincerely,
/RA/
Douglas V. Pickett, Senior Project Manager Plant Licensing Branch II-2 Division of Operating Reactor Licensing Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Docket No. 50-327
