On November 12, 2014, Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. filed a license amendment request (LAR) for Palisades Nuclear Power Plant.1 On March 9, 2015, Beyond Nuclear, Dont Waste Michigan, Michigan Safe Energy Future - Shoreline Chapter, and the Nuclear Energy Information Service (collectively Petitioners) submitted a petition to intervene and request for a hearing to challenge the LAR.2 Entergy and the NRC Staff filed answers opposing the petition,3 and Petitioners filed a reply on April 10, 2015.4 1 Letter from Anthony J. The Boards decision granting or denying the petition to intervene and request for a hearing was originally due May 26, 2015.5 The Board previously provided notice that it would issue a decision by June 15, 2015.6 The Board continues to finalize its decision and hereby provides notice pursuant to 10 C.F.R. § 2.309(j)(1) that it anticipates issuing a decision on the petition to intervene and request for a hearing on or before June 19, 2015.
