3. NRC Letter "Final Significance Determination of a White Finding with Assessment Followup; NRC Inspection Report No. 05000374/2014007; LaSalle County Station, Unit 2," dated January 30, 2014 In Reference 1, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) notified Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) that LaSalle County Station, Unit 2, had been placed in the Regulatory Response Column of the NRC's Reactor Oversight Process (ROP) Action Matrix due to having one White initiating events Performance Indicator (PI). The NRC's review of LaSalle County Station, Unit 2, identified that the PI for Unplanned Scrams with Complications crossed the Green-to-White performance threshold of one occurrence. The referenced letter stated that the NRC planned to conduct a supplemental inspection in accordance with Inspection Procedure (IP) 95001, "Supplemental Inspection for One or Two White Inputs in a Strategic Performance Area."

In Reference 2, EGC informed the NRC that it was ready for the NRC to conduct the IP 95001 supplemental inspection.

In Reference 3, the NRC notified EGC that the unplanned scram with complications event that occurred on Unit 2 while the condenser was being dewatered would result in a White finding, and that in accordance with IMC 0305, "Operating Reactor Assessment Program" guidance on double counting Performance Indicators, the White finding would become an action matrix input

February 14, 2014 U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page 2 and the White PI would no longer be considered an input. The letter stated that the IP 95001 inspection would be conducted when EGC had notified the NRC of our readiness for this inspection.

The purpose of this letter is to inform the NRC that EGC is ready for the NRC to conduct the IP 95001 supplemental inspection. EGC requests the NRC commence the inspection in March 2014, following completion of the current Unit 1 refueling outage (L1 R15).
