Charles Peabodys technical experience and regulatory perspective will assist the NRC in carrying out its mission to protect people and the environment by ensuring the safe operation of Palo Verde, said NRC Region IV Administrator Marc Dapas.

Peabody joined the NRCs Region II office in Atlanta, Ga., in 2003, as a Co-Op Student. He became a full-time NRC employee in May 2004, serving as an engineering inspector in the Division of Reactor Safety. He was assigned as the Resident Inspector at the Wolf Creek Generating Station in May 2009. In February 2013, Peabody was promoted to be the Senior Resident Inspector at Wolf Creek. He holds a bachelors degree in nuclear and radiological engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Each U.S. commercial nuclear power plant has at least two Resident Inspectors. Peabody joins Resident Inspectors David You and Dustin Reinert. They serve as the agencys eyes and ears at the facility, conducting inspections, monitoring significant work projects, and interacting with plant workers and the public.
