Victor Dricks, 817-200-1128 NRC Names New Resident Inspector at the Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant The NRC has selected Eric Lantz as the new resident inspector at the Palo Verde nuclear power plant in Wintersburg, Ariz.
Prior to joining the NRC in February, Lantz served as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy. He holds a bachelors degree in nuclear engineering from North Carolina State University.
Each U.S. commercial nuclear power plant site has at least two NRC resident inspectors. Lantz joins senior resident inspector Charles Peabody and resident inspector Russ Bywater. They serve as the agencys eyes and ears at the facility, conducting inspections, monitoring significant work projects, and interacting with plant workers and the public.
