3) Letter from P.R. Simpson to U. S. NRC, "Registration of Use of Casks to Store Spent Fuel," dated August 18, 2014 In References 1 through 3, Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) submitted registration letters for the use of six HI-STORM 100 casks to store spent fuel at Dresden Nuclear Power Station (i.e., two casks per registration letter). These were submitted in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 72.212, "Conditions of general license issued under §72.210," paragraph (b)(2). As such, these registration letters were submitted within the required 30 days of placing the casks into service. However, the 30-day due date that is stated in each letter specified the wrong year.

The purpose of this letter is to correct the stated registration due date, relative to both the cask service date, and the date that the registration was submitted. This clarification is provided in the table below. All HI-STORM 100 casks were loaded under cask Certificate of Compliance number 72-1014, Amendment 2, utilizing a Multi-Purpose Canister, Type 68 (i.e., MPC-68).
