E White - IPEC status report for December 7 jofr Page2 Indian Foint Energy Center Daily Status Report December 7, 2005 Operational Status Indian Foint Unit 2 is operating at 100% and has been online 368days.

Indian Foint Unit 3 is operating at 100% reactor power and has been on-line for 64 days.

Spent Fuel Pool Investigation Entergy is continuing the investigation into a leak from the Unit 2 spent fuel pool. Additional samples have been taken from MW-38, the most southerly well location on site as the well is being developed. Vacuum drilling for the wells in the transformer yard has been completed. The leak rate from the narrow crack in the spent fuel pool remains steady at about 10 ml/day.

The NR13 is continuing its special inspection on the spent fuel pool issue and is continuing conference calls to brief stakeholders. No date has been set for the public exit meeting.

CMS Er ergy Plans to Sell Palisades The owner of the Palisades nuclear plant announced its plan to sell the 845 MW unit. CMS Energy cited the consolidation going on in the energy industry as the primary motivator for the sale. The unit is currently operated by the Nuclear Management Company but other NMC operated plants such as Kewaunee and Duane Arnold have recently been sold or are in the processing of selling. Palisades is located near South Haven, Mich.

Entergy Adds New Feature to Website Entergy has added an e-mail update feature to its safesecurevital website. You can sign up for updates on a variety of topics including siren tests, security upgrades and environmental issues.
