NOTICE OF INTENT TO PARTICIPATE AS A PARTY Pursuant to 10 C.F.R. § 2.1202(b)(2), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff (Staff), within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of an order granting a request for hearing, must notify the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (Board) and the parties as to whether the Staff desires to participate as a party and must identify the contentions on which the Staff wishes to participate as a party.
On August 31, 2015, the Board issued LBP-15-24, 82 NRC ___, a Memorandum and Order that granted the State of Vermonts hearing request and admitted two contentions. The Staff hereby notifies the Board and parties of the Staffs intent to participate as a party in this adjudicatory proceedings with respect to the admitted contentions.
