Notice that the University of Missouri Research Reactor intends to submit a license amendment in support of NorthWest Medical Isotopes, Inc.'s Molybdenum 99 Project The purpose of this letter is to provide notice that the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) intends to submit a license amendment for the purpose of irradiating Low Enriched Uranium (LEU) targets in the reflector region of the MURR in support of NorthWest Medical Isotopes, Inc. (NWMI) molybdenum 99 (9 9 M0) project during calendar year 2016.While this project is currently in the conceptual design stage, MURR wishes to provide early notice of our intent for NRC resource planning purposes to help assure the efficiency of the regulatory licensing process. We anticipate that this project will require a license amendment to our Reactor License (Class 104c Amended Facility License No. R-103, Docket No. 50-186).If you have any questions, please contact me at 573-882-4211.
