THE CURATORS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI- U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION SECURITY INSPECTION REPORT NO. 05000186/2021201

Dear Dr. Robertson:

From February 22-25, 2021, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff conducted a security inspection at the University of Missouri-Columbia Research Reactor facility. The enclosed report documents the inspection results which were discussed on February 25, 2021, with you and members of your staff.

The inspection examined activities conducted under your license as they relate to security and compliance with the Commissions rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license. The inspector reviewed selected procedures and records, observed activities, and interviewed personnel. Based on the results of this inspection, no findings of non-compliance with NRC requirements were identified. No response to this letter is required.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Section 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of NRCs document system (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room). However, because of the security-related items contained in the enclosure, and in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(d), a copy of the enclosure will not be available for public inspection.

Enclosure transmitted herewith contains Official Use Only - Security Related Information. When separated from the Enclosure, this transmittal document is decontrolled.
