The following information was received by facsimile:

"At approximately 1145 [EDT], 7/9/2014 a deceased sea turtle was removed from the Salem Unit 2 Circulating Water System (CWS) Intake trash racks at the Salem Generating Station. Due to the level of decomposition of the sea turtle, a determination of the kind of sea turtle could not be immediately made. At 1505, Environmental Licensing identified the sea turtle as a Kemp's Ridley which is federally listed as 'endangered' species under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended. Nuclear Environmental Affairs has made a determination that this is a 4 hr report to the NRC under RAL 11.8.2.a.

"A report was made to the National Marine Fisheries at 1512 and the NJDEP Division of Fish &

Wildlife at 1511, concerning the deceased Kemp's Ridley Sea turtle by Environmental Licensing."

Notified the R1DO (DeFrancisco) and Endangered Species Group via email.
