Dear Mr. O'Keefe:

The Reference transmitted Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Inspection Report 05000482/2016411 that documents a finding with an associated apparent violation that has preliminarily been determined to be of Greater than Green significance. The Reference provided Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) the opportunity to attend a Regulatory Conference or submit our position to the NRC in writing.

WCNOC respectfully requests a Regulatory Conference in order to present our perspective on the facts and assumptions the NRC used to arrive at the finding and assess its significance.

The NRC requested that the Regulatory Conference be held within 40 days of the date of the Reference. However, due to the holiday season, and that WCNOC will be gathering more data in January, WCNOC requests an extension to hold the Regulatory Conference during the 2nd week of February.
