Palisades Nuclear Plant 27780 Blue Star Memorial Highway Covert, MI  490439530 SUBJECT:  PALISADES NUCLEAR PLANT ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF DISPUTED VIOLATION OF NRC INSPECTION REPORT 05000255/2017007  Dear Mr. Arnone: This letter acknowledges your letter sent to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), dated January 29, 2018, that provided a response to our Inspection Report issued on December 29, 2017, concerning activities conducted at your Palisades Nuclear Plant.  The letter we received contested a Non-Cited Violation (NCV) documented in Palisades Inspection Report 05000255/2017007.  Failure to Periodically Test the Emergency Diesel Generators Capacity to Start and Accelerate Design Basis S We are currently reviewing your basis for contesting the above NCV.  The NRC seeks to be thorough and timely in the review of licensee responses.  Accordingly, we will inform you as soon as we complete our evaluation.
