==Dear Nuclear Regulatory Commission Members:==

I am writing to encourage you to renew Point Beach's Unit One and Two Licenses so Wisconsin residents and businesses can benefit from 20 more years of clean, efficient and affordable nuclear power.
Located in Two Creeks, the Point Beach facility employs approximately 730 area residents with family-sustaining jobs. Its 20-year record of safe operations warrants license renewal. And its significant contribution to Wisconsin's energy generation is priceless to the economic development of our region and quality of life of our residents.
Mercury Marine, an employer of approximately 3,500 people in east central Wisconsin, understands the demand for adequate, reliable, predictable energy supplies with minimal environmental impact.
Approval of this application is one way we can ensure Wisconsin residents are not faced with an unnecessary energy shortage, and that Wisconsin's economic recovery is not curtailed. For this reason, I ask that you grant approval for Point-Beach's application for license renewal.

Dear Nuclear Regulatory Commission Members:

Sincerely, Joseph H. Pomeroy General Counsel J:Iegal :docs:pomeroy:nuclear/mng 5):~3 eb /~t-"/a 3
