[External_Sender] Comments on Point Beach reactor This letter is in regards to the Wisconsin Point Beach Nuclear Reactor. There has been many nuclear reactors retired in recent years because of the danger of continuing to run them. History has taught us that when there is a accident with nuclear reactors the damage is devastating. I can in no way imagine why one would invite to have a Fukushima on the shores of Lake Michigan.

Of the nuclear plants licensed in the 1970's fully half of them was shut down before the first 40 license period expired for either safety or economic reasons. The True Lifespan of a Nuclear Power Plant -

Seacoast Anti-Pollution League (saplnh.org) No plant in the entire world has made it beyond 50 years yet there is a proposal to let this plant operate for up to 80 years. This plant is doing tremendous damage with its current cooling system. Letting it to continue to operate with the potential of future damage is unconscionable. The Great lakes has suffered enough for other environmental assaults by man. It is time to end this pone.
