A.INTRODUCTION The.Re-qualification Programisdesi.gned todemonstrate OperatorandSeniorOperatorcompetence, andtosatisfytherequirements of10CFR55.59 forlicense.renewal.TheProgramembodiesthesubstance of10CFR55.59, including, provisions foranannualoperational examination, abiennialwrittenexamination,a structured lectureandstudyprogramwhennecessary tocorrectdeficiencies, onthe'jobtrainingandevaluation oflicensees, andarecordsmaintenance' system.During.each-year,anoperational examination shallbeadministered toalllicensedpersonnel havingregularoperational responsibility attheRINSC.Everyotheryear,awrittenexamination shallbeadministered.

Subsequent todetermining anydeficiencies indicated bytheannualexamination, aretraining programwillbeini!iated whichconsistsofacombination oflectures, self-study bythelicensee, tutoringofthelicensee, andappropriate examination onthematerialcovered.Thefinalselection ofthecombination ofretraining sessionswilldependupontheperformance.

F.RE-QUALIFICATION PROGRAMSTUDYMATERIALS Thetrainingcoordinator shallprovideacompleteset.ofstudyandreference materials foruse.Itshallbehis/herresponsibility toperformareviewofthecontentsofthesereference materials toensuretheyareadequateandaccurately reflectoperations, conditions, and.designcharacteristics ofthefacility.

Asaminimum,thesematerials shallincludecopiesof:1.Asuitablegeneralreference textonreactorphysics,2.RINSCOperating Procedures, 3.RINSCAbnormalProcedures, 4.RINSCEmergency Plan&Implementing Procedures, 5.RINSeTechnical Specifications, 6.GEOperation andMaintenance manual,7.10CFR19,20,50,55,and70,8.RINSCRadiation SafetyGuide,9.HealthPhysicsprinciples

&techniques.
