Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and representatives of the Purdue University Research Reactor (Purdue), at the NRC Headquarters, One White Flint North, 11555 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Maryland. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the Purdue license amendment request, dated February 27 and 28, 2017 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management Systems (ADAMS) Accession Nos. ML17061A262, ML17061A264, and ML17061A265), for approval of changes to the license and technical specifications to allow an upgrade to an all-digital instrumentation and control system. The meeting notice and agenda, are available in ADAMS at Accession No. ML17103A488. A list of attendees is provided as an enclosure. | |||
The discussion included the request for supplemental documents that are needed from the applicant in order for the NRC staff to find the application acceptable as described in the NRC staff's acceptance review (ADAMS Accession No. ML17104A156). These include the functional requirements specifications for the software, the cyber security plan, the cyber security procedures, and a complete description of the digital instrument and control system to be installed. Also discussed was the schedule for an audit at the applicant's facility. | |||
