NRC LICENSE NUMBER SNM-1405 Enclosed is a request dated August 13, 1984 from IRT Corporation to have Cells A, B and CD of the IRT LINAC facility released for unrestricted use.

The enclosed survey report is for your information.

I have checked with the State of California and they have completed a survey of Cells A, B and CD. Their results indicated no involvement of materials under SNM-1405.

A discussion with Paul Maschka, IRT-RSO, on September 12, 1984 indicated that materials licensed under SNM-1405 had not been used in these areas.

Based upon the above information, we will not be performing a confirmatory survey in Cells A, B and CD. It is recommended that the specific areas be removed as use locations from NRC License SNM-1405. The release for unrestricted use of Cells A, B and CD will be coordinated with the State of California.
