The amendments adopted NRG-approved Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) Standard Technical Specifications Change Traveler TSTF-427, Revision 2, "Allowance for Non Technical Specification Barrier Degradation on Supported System Operability." Subsequent to the issuance of the amendments, the NRC staff discovered typographical errors on page 4 of the facility operating license for CNS, Unit 2. These errors are administrative in nature and correcting them does not affect the safety evaluation for Amendment Nos. 288 and 284. Enclosed is the revised facility operating license page. By letter dated April 26, 2017 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML17066A374), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRG) issued Amendment Nos. 288 and 284 to Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. NPF-35 and NPF-53 for the Catawba Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 (CNS, Units 1 and 2), respectively. The amendments changed the Technical Specifications in response to Duke Energy Carolinas application dated June 23, 2016.
The amendments adopted NRG-approved Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF)
Standard Technical Specifications Change Traveler TSTF-427, Revision 2, "Allowance for Non Technical Specification Barrier Degradation on Supported System Operability."
