50-3-23 OL REQUEST FOR ISSUANCE OF A SUBPOENA TO CR. CLARENCE HALL Pursuant to 10 CFR 52.720, the Joint Intervenors hereby request the Atomic Safety & Licensing Board to issue a subpoena to Dr. Clarence Hall to require his attendance and testimony at the licensing proceeding.
It is expected that Dr. Hall's testimony will address the question of continuity along the San Simeon-Hosgri fault zone as well as the questions of recency of movement, and total accu-mulated offset along the fault zone. Dr. Hall's scientific publi-cations have been discussed in some detail at the proceedings and Dr. E_il's testimony is relevant to the disposition of the seismic issues presently before the Licensing Board.
I am advised by counsel for the Applicant and for the Staff that they do not oppose the issuance of the requested subpoena.
