SALEM GENERATING STATION MONTHLY OPERATING

==SUMMARY==
==SUMMARY==
  -UNIT NO. 2 JANAURY 1988 The Unit began the period operating at full power and continued to operate at that level unitl January 3, 1988, when a minor load reduction was performed to facilitate repairs to No. 23 Heater Drain Pump. The repairs were completed and the Unit was restored to full power on January 4, 1988. The Unit continued to operate at full power until January 31, 1988, when the Unit was removed from service at 1606 hours to repair a non-isolable turbine electro-hydraulic control system oil leak. Following repairs, which were completed with the Reactor critical, the Unit was synchronized at 1950 hours the same day. Power escalation was in progress when the period ended.
