LETTER TO FILE REGARDING FACILITY POST-EXAM COMMENTS FOR THE POINT BEACH INITIAL EXAMINATION - NOVEMBER 2005

Point Beach Initial Licensing Examination November 2005 Letter to File from Raymond Keith Walton, Chief Examiner, Point Beach Exam In a letter from Russ Joplin, licensee trainer and exam coordinator to Raymond Keith Walton, NRC Chief Examiner, received in the NRC Rlll Office on November 23, 2005, the licensee noted that there were 2 written examination questions on the RO portion of the exam that required a change in equipment nomenclature. The licensee changed those two questions during the course of the written examination. After discussions, with the NRC Branch Chief, these questions were not treated as post-examinationcomments.

The licensee verbally informed the NRC Chief Examiner that there were no other written post-examination comments. As of January 18, 2006, the licensee had not formally sent to the NRC Chief Examiner a letter stating that there were no post-examinationcomments.

On January 18, 2006, I spoke with the Point Beach Training Manager to inform him that I would be sending a letter to file, in lieu of expecting a formal letter from the licensee. I also informed him that the material listed in NUREG 1021, ES-501, para. C.l.a, should, in the future, be accompanied by a letter signed by the Site Vice President, even if there are post-examination comments.
