Unfortunately we have not had sufficient staff time available to address the questions within 30 days. Summer vacations, a major change in facility staffing, and the TRTR conference in August are further restricting the staff time available. I assure you that we are working on responses to the RAI questions, which (including subparts) total 94 questions. In a telephone conference with U.S. NRC staff on 7/5/16, we were told that there is a deadline of 12/31/2016 to get the USGS license renewal done. We will try to support that deadline as much as possible. Therefore I request that we be given an additional 40 days to respond, ending September 6, 2016. | ||
