Request to Extend Acceptance Review Schedule for TSTF-493, Revision 1, "Clarify Application of Setpoint Methodology for LSSS Functions"

Dear Sir or Madam:

On October 2, 2006, the TSTF submitted TSTF-493, Revision 1, "Clarify Application of Setpoint Methodology for LSSS Functions." The NRC's November 16, 2006 letter stated that the acceptance review for TSTF-493 was scheduled to be completed by December 15, 2006.

The TSTF is working with the NRC to resolve questions regarding TSTF-493 and it will take more time to resolve these issues so that the NRC's acceptance review can be completed.

Therefore, we request that the NRC's scheduled date to complete the TSTF-493 acceptance review be changed from December 15, 2006 to February 16, 2007.

The TSTF anticipates the need to submit a revision to TSTF-493 to incorporate the resolution of these issues. We recognize that the NRC's review schedule for TSTF-493 will restart on receipt of Revision 2.
